Ex-NFL Player Wrote This Love Song To His Family Before Losing His Memory

Ex-NFL player, Ben Utrecht, hasn’t completely lost his memory yet, but he wrote this love song as a keepsake for his family. After receiving 5 documented concussions during his notable NFL career, where he played tight end for the Colts when they won the Superbowl in 2006 before being signed by the Bengals in 2008. It was during the practice before the 2009 season when Ben took a hard hit that left him with a career-ending concussion. The traumatic brain injury has causes lapses in Ben’s long-term memory, forgetting parts of his past and affecting his current career in music as he forgets the lyrics to his songs.

This beautiful song, “You Will Always Be My Girls,” is a beautiful song celebrating his love for his wife and 3 girls, but a painful reminder that he may not remember them in the future – but they will always be his girls. Make sure you make the most of every moment you get to spend with those you love.
